The HSR is a machining center designed and built for CAM production, involving components that require extremely high geometric accuracy and surface quality. The production process combines milling and grinding, two operations that must be perfectly integrated to ensure the performance and reliability of the finished part. The complexity of these operations makes it essential to validate every phase before execution on the machine. Virtual simulation is the best solution for ensuring every phase performs perfectly before jeopardizing expensive stock materials, wasting valuable machine time, and risking machine damage.
One of the distinguishing features of the HSR is radius compensation management through the orbital spindle, a technology that makes it possible to compensate for the tool radius and/or wear on paths generated by calculation software, which output the path along the cam groove centerline.
